This was my hair on Monday.
And I was oh-so-sick of it. Always everywhere, I was constantly braiding or bunning or ponytailing or else brushing and moving and getting pulled and being surrounded by a constant bubble of static electricity...so I decided I was done. The real turning point was when I realized that I was now only keeping it long because I hoped other people would think it was cool.
That's a really dumb reason.
So I had it all chopped off yesterday.
It's rather less long now.
I absolutely love it. No more braids, no more sweaty back, no more accidentally sitting on my hair.
I currently have two 13-inch braids sitting on my kitchen counter that I intend to ship off to www.wigsforkids.com (I have a rant against Locks for Love, but we won't go there now). I don't necessarily care too much about the donation part, but I figured that if I was going to chop that much off anyway, might as well attempt some good with it.
And thank you to Heather, who just randomly showed up to say hello for a few minutes and then suggested that I go get my hair cut RIGHT NOW while she watched the kids. Those are the best babysitters.
What do you think of my new look?

I love it.
Oh how I love it! You look great! And yay for awesome babysitters. :)
Yay! I did the same thing recently and I love it. We don't have static here in WA, but I remember how much I hated that.
