For the Man of the House


1. What is something Dad always says to you?
J: He says yes that he will turn on the tv and yes that one time he would let me go outside.
M: Go out of his room.




2. What makes Dad happy?
J: That I listen to him when he tells me something.
M: Giving him lots of hugs.



3. What makes Dad sad?
J: He's sad when I don't follow the rules.
M: Not giving him lots of hugs.




4. How does Dad make you laugh?
J: Tickling me.
M: Tell me jokes.




5. What was Dad like as a child?
J: He was like me.
M: Nice child.





6. How old is Dad?
J: Hmmm...I don't know. I think maybe 10.
M: Four.




7. How tall is Dad?
J: He's as tall as Grandpa.
M: This much tall 
(stretching really high and standing on tippy-toes on the couch)



 8. What is Dad's favorite thing to do?
J: Ride bikes with me.
M: Go to the park.





9. What does Dad do when you're not around?
J: I don't know. One time when we were playing outside and he had the door cracked a little bit open he was working on his computer and I saw him.
M: Play outside.



10. If Dad becomes famous, what will it be for?
J: His phone. I mean fun.
M: For jumping around.



11. What is Dad really good at?
J: Dad's really good at building stuff.
M: Going to Amy's house.





12. What is Dad not very good at?
J: He's not very...I don't know. Well, I know one thing. He's not very good at jumping over the fence. Because that's bad. We're not supposed to jump over the fence.
M: Not good at going to Jane's school.






13. What does Dad do for his job?
J: He makes money for us to buy a new house and cars and buy new stuff.
M: Unload the dishwasher.






14. What is Dad's favorite food?
J: Dad's favorite food is fried rice.
M: Umm...umm...french fries.





15. What makes you proud of Dad?
J: That he fixed my other shoe.
M: Helping me find my things.





16. What makes Dad proud of you?
J: That I listen sometimes to what he says.
M: Helping him.





17. What do you and Dad do together?
J: Ride bikes, go on walks, go to places together.
M: Help people.





18. How are you and Dad the same?
J: Because we both like cereal.
M: Playing the same things.



19. How are you and Dad different?
J: He is not five and I'm not his old. And he's tall and he's not short.
M: Not playing the same things. And not going to the same houses.


20. How do you know Dad loves you?
J: Just because he loves me and I'm his daughter.
M: Go to the park each day.


21. Where is Dad's favorite place to go?
J: To the store.
M: To work.

22. What do you wish Dad for his birthday?
J: To give him new church shoes and also a new game.
M: A spaceman. Yeah. He would love a spaceman.
