This seems to be a week of repeats.
I fell on the ice...again.
So I bought new shoes. They are Saf-T-Step, designed for food service and other industries where falling is a common hazard. So far, they are a lot better than the shoe stud things I was wearing before. And I don't have to remember to put them on.
I had my first day of school...again.
For the third time this year. Geez. This first day, though, coming back after Christmas break, is a little bit different. We're in the home stretch, kind of. I only have five more months of teaching before I quit to be a stay-at-home mom.
Chris had his last day of work...again.
Chris has held a handful of jobs since entering the workforce at the tender age of fourteen. He worked his last day for Pearson Education and Poptropica today. He starts his first, and hopefully last, career job at L3 on Monday.
We are having a long-distance/weekend relationship...again.
When Chris and I were originally dating in high school, he lived in Idaho and I lived in Salt Lake. We talked on the phone every day, emailed often, and saw each other on weekends when transportation was available. Starting Monday, Chris will be living with my sister and her husband in Salt Lake while I stay in Logan with the girls. We'll talk on the phone, possibly email, and we'll see each other when he comes home on the weekends. Wish us luck.
Megan has an infection...again.
After finishing a ten-day round of antibiotics, Megan's fever returned a couple days later. Today, she went in for two different tests to find the cause of her UTIs. One test involved injecting a dye into her bladder using a catheter. X-rays showed that the fluid filled up her bladder, then started filling her kidneys as well. That means that the valve between them, which prevents the reflux, is not fully formed yet. The pediatrician just called (while I was typing this paragraph, ironically) with the next step. We are going to take Megan to see a kidney specialist at Primary Children's. Most likely, she'll be on antibiotics to prevent any other infections while we wait for the valve to finish forming, which could take two or three years. The other option would be surgery. But we won't know any more until we see the specialist. We'll keep you posted. So...
We're giving drugs to our baby daily...again.
Jane took steroids every day for eight months. I guess now it's Megan's turn.
Pregnancy marathon begins again.

BUM DEAL about Megan. :( How frustrating.... I hope that you're able to come to a good conclusion.
You and Chris are good to practice that song really quick tomorrow right? I guess we'll see you tomorrow night then.
Also - we want to invite you over for dinner next week... is there a day that works best??
One word...acidophilus.
Good luck with everything.
